In 2008 my wife Julie and I, guided by Paul Sweeney, the manager of Papunya Tula Artists, traveled to central Australia to visit the Aboriginal artists whose paintings have meant so much to us. As we journeyed 700 miles on single lane paved and sand roads, we were moved by the beauty of the land which has inspired the work of these artists living in the remote communities of Kintore and Kiwirrkura. We were deeply touched by the kindness of the artists and we feel blessed in having the privilege of spending time with them.
